Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum DOE
This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading contractor, supporting a busy HR function in a fast‑paced, operational environment. You will play a key role in delivering HR support across the business, working closely with managers to provide guidance on employee relations, recruitment, and HR processes. The role will see you take ownership of HR administration and advisory duties, with a strong focus on maintaining accurate records, managing recruitment processes via an ATS, and ensuring HR data is consistently up to date.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide HR advice and support to managers, including confidently challenging and influencing where required.
- Manage employee relations cases, ensuring best practice and consistency across the business.
- Support and manage recruitment processes, including use of the ATS system and coordination of hiring activities.
- Maintain and update HR records and spreadsheets accurately, ensuring compliance and data integrity.
- Assist with the development and improvement of HR processes and procedures.
- Support onboarding, induction, and general HR administration activities.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure HR policies are understood and implemented effectively.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' of experience in an HR Advisor or similar role within construction, engineering, or rail sectors - essential
- Background working for a contractor.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and push back professionally.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly with spreadsheets (Excel).
- Experience managing recruitment processes and using an ATS system.
- Previous Experience of payroll administration
- CIPD Level 5 or equivalent professional qualification - essential
- Educated to A-Level or above
- Good working knowledge of UK employment law and best practice
Additional Information:
- 37.5 hours per week
- Core hours 9:00am - 4:00pm
- 30-minute lunch break
