Our client is a well-established rail contractor with a strong reputation for delivering a diverse range of rail infrastructure projects.
Their portfolio includes station refurbishments, platform extensions, signalling bases, depot remodelling and bridge reconstruction projects across the UK rail network.
The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major rail project in Huddersfield.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and in line with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out and controlling dimensions of works on site.
- Producing take-offs and monitoring project progress.
- Maintaining accurate daily site records and activity logs.
- Identifying, reporting and managing project changes.
- Managing material reconciliations and site documentation.
- Updating drawings and technical documents to the latest revisions.
- Maintaining quality records in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Producing as-built records and drawings on project completion.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you will have
- HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within rail or civil engineering projects.
- A valid PTS certification (essential).
- Strong setting out and site coordination experience.
- Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
