Our client, a leading Tier 1 civil engineering and maintenance framework company undertaking work on complex civil engineering schemes, bridges, environmental infrastructure, railway projects and more, is seeking to expand their pre-construction team. They are interested in speaking to experienced Estimators/Senior Estimators that have worked on similar schemes.

- Lineside Civils, Cabling, Trough Routes & Telecoms
Our Scotland business unit is involved in a variety of projects, including small civil works within our Civils Asset Management framework, large-scale rail infrastructure projects, and non-rail civil engineering infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Effective registration, control, and administration of tender documentation
- Preparation and management of tenders from receipt of documents through to delivery
- Presentation of tenders to senior management at tender review meetings
- Liaison with the Supply Chain team in respect of placing supplier/subcontractor enquiries
- Technical and commercial appraisal of construction labour, plant, materials, and temporary works
- Take-offs from drawings and production of cost-effective tenders from first principles
- Effective analysis and pricing of risks
- Preparation of tender submission documents
- Preparation of estimating reports
- Providing assistance to proposals and contract management functions
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in multi-disciplinary civil engineering sectors such as rail, highways, aviation, and/or utilities and power
- First Principles Estimating experience
- Civil engineering project experience
- Working knowledge of Excel (& Word) and estimating software
