Are you a Fire Protection Engineer with experience of working on major infrastructure projects for tier 1 contractors?
Rate: £550 - £650 per day (Inside IR35)
Location: Full-time site based - Braitrim House, Westgate, South Ruislip & Copthall
Contract: Long-term contract until June 2033
We're recruiting an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to support the delivery of a major infrastructure programme across multiple assets. This is a senior site delivery role focused on managing the installation, coordination and quality of Passive & Structural Fire Protection works from design through to handover.
Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of Passive & Structural Fire Protection works across allocated assets.
- Review and coordinate fire protection designs, ensuring solutions are buildable, compliant and certifiable.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers and specialist installers throughout delivery.
- Carry out quality inspections and ensure Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) are completed and recorded.
- Resolve technical and construction issues during installation.
- Develop construction methodologies, delivery plans, procurement activities and pre-start documentation.
- Coordinate with Asset Leads, Design, Engineering, QA, Commercial, Planning and wider MEP teams, while maintaining effective stakeholder engagement with clients, subcontractors and delivery partners.
- Monitor programme, productivity and site progress, identifying risks, opportunities and efficiencies.
- Maintain accurate site records, daily diaries and manage non-conformances.
- Be fully conversant with subcontractor contract conditions, assist in developing project-specific subcontract conditions and manage subcontractor accounts alongside the QS team.

- Proven experience delivering Passive & Structural Fire Protection packages from design through construction, testing, commissioning and handover.

- Experience working on Tier 1 construction or major infrastructure projects.
- Working knowledge of NEC Contracts (Option A preferred).
- Knowledge of CMARK requirements and certification processes.
- Experience coordinating works using Navisworks 3D models.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, QA, commissioning and handover processes.
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple stakeholders on live projects.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in Fire Engineering, Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- CSCS Card.
- SMSTS or SSSTS.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
