Are you a Project Controls Manager with extensive experience working directly for the client of rail-based projects?

Rate: £300 - £359 PAYE or £450 - £490 Umbrella

Duration: Ongoing

Location: London (Hybrid 50 - 50 split)

This is an opportunity for an experienced Project Controls Manager to support logistics manufacturing and asset-related projects that enable track delivery and London Underground renewals across the TfL network.

The role will lead and coordinate project controls activities, helping ensure projects are effectively planned, monitored and controlled against agreed baselines, schedules and financial performance. You will support robust reporting, progress assessment, cost and risk management, planning and change control, working closely with a broad range of project, commercial, finance, engineering and operational stakeholders.

The position sits within a large logistics manufacturing environment and requires someone who can work collaboratively across different teams, locations and depots. Approximately 50% of the role will be office based, with flexibility required to visit TfL buildings and operational locations as needed.

Essential Experience:

  • Strong project controls experience.
  • Experience within infrastructure or rail projects.
  • Experience in planning, financial controls and risk management.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to work effectively within a large team.

Desired Experience:

  • Previous TfL or London Underground experience.
  • Business Intelligence (BI) experience.
  • Experience with project scheduling and reporting tools, such as Primavera or MS Project.
  • Broader experience across programme, commercial and change controls.
