Are you an experienced Rail Commercial Manager or Senior Commercial Manager with a focus on stations and multi-disciplined rail schemes? Do you have experience of working for the main contractor?

Location: Cardiff, South Wales (3 days per week on-site)

Rate: Competitive (Inside IR35 preferred, but candidates must provide both inside and outside IR35 rates upfront)

We are looking for Rail Commercial Managers and Senior Commercial Managers based in South Wales to join a high-profile Cardiff-based rail project. Responsibilities:

  • Monitor project progress, finances, and risks, providing regular updates and mitigating any commercial issues.
  • Ensure high standards of commercial operations and delivery across the rail station project.
  • Work directly on-site in Cardiff for 3 days a week, ensuring smooth execution of all commercial elements of the project.
  • Collaborate with senior management, contractors, and key stakeholders to drive project success.
  • Assist in managing the NEC contract (likely Option A or E) and deal with any changes or challenges that may arise.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Commercial Manager with significant experience in rail station projects.
  • Ability to hit the ground running and manage the commercial aspects of large rail projects from day one.
  • A minimum of 9 months availability, with potential for contract extension for the right candidate.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with NEC contracts (likely Option A or E).
  • Based in or around South Wales, able to work 3 days a week on-site in Cardiff.
