We are looking for an experienced Construction Assurance Engineer with a background in Geotechnical Engineering and Earthworks to support major HS2 works in Brackley. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong design experience who has transitioned into site-based delivery, project engineering, or assurance roles within major infrastructure environments.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring earthworks and geotechnical packages are delivered safely, compliantly, and in accordance with approved engineering designs and specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out site inspections and assurance activities across earthworks packages
- Review QA/QC documentation, ITPs, and Work Package Plans
- Ensure compliance with geotechnical designs and specifications
- Witness testing activities including material and field testing
- Raise and manage defects and NCRs
- Audit construction quality and assurance procedures
- Liaise with site delivery, design, and quality teams
- Support project reporting and compliance tracking
- Degree qualified in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
- Strong earthworks and geotechnical design background
- Experience on rail, highways, or heavy civils projects
- Previous experience in construction assurance, project engineering, or resident engineering
- Knowledge of QA/QC processes and inspection procedures
- Chartered status preferred
Contract Details: £450-£500 per day, Inside IR35, 5 days per week on site in Brackley, Long-term contract opportunity.
