I am supporting a major UK infrastructure programme in the search for a Design Coordinator to join a growing engineering and delivery team on one of the country’s most high-profile rail projects.
As Design Coordinator, you will support the management of as-built information, engineering assurance, and design coordination processes across live construction activities. You’ll work closely with engineers, site teams, designers, BIM specialists and document control teams to ensure project records are accurate, compliant, and delivered in line with programme requirements.
Essential requirements:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or relevant engineering discipline
- Experience within civil engineering, rail or major infrastructure projects
- Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to proactively chase actions and coordinate multiple workstreams
- Experience working with engineering documentation, drawings, assurance, or technical coordination processes
- Commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery environments
- Experience managing as-built records or BIM coordination activities
- Full UK driving licence
Desired:
- Understanding of Network Rail standards, engineering assurance, or infrastructure delivery processes
- Knowledge of ISO compliance, CDM regulations or integrated management systems
- Experience working on large-scale rail or infrastructure projects
