Are you a hardworking labourer looking for long-term stability? We are currently recruiting for a reliable individual to join a major, large-scale commercial development in Bishop Auckland. This is an ongoing contract role on a high-profile site, offering consistent hours and steady work as the project progresses through its main construction phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a safe, tidy, and hazard-free site by managing construction waste and clearing trade work areas.
  • Assisting various commercial subcontractors with material distribution across a large footprint.
  • Loading and unloading large-scale commercial deliveries.
  • Setting up, moving, and maintaining site barriers, fencing, and safety signage.
  • Carrying out general site maintenance and welfare tasks as directed by the Site Manager.

What You’ll Need

  • Valid CSCS card (Essential).
  • Previous experience working on commercial, industrial, or large-scale construction sites.
  • Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis vest/trousers, steel toe boots).
  • A proactive, "get-stuck-in" attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent reliability and punctuality.
  • Reliable transport or easy access to the Bishop Auckland area (conveniently located for those commuting from Darlington, Durham, Spennymoor, and Newton Aycliffe).
