About the Role
As our temporary telehandler operator, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of our housing development during a key period. Your responsibilities will include:
- Safely and efficiently operating the telehandler to move various construction materials (e.g., bricks, timber, roofing supplies) across the site.
- Delivering materials promptly and precisely to different trades and work areas as needed, ensuring continuous workflow.
- Assisting with the safe loading and unloading of incoming deliveries, coordinating with transport teams.
- Performing daily machine checks to ensure safe operation before use, and reporting any issues immediately.
- Strictly adhering to all site health and safety regulations and company policies, prioritising a safe working environment.
- Communicating effectively with site management, banksmen, and other team members to ensure seamless coordination.
Role Requirements
- Proven experience as a Telehandler Operator, ideally with a background in new build housing sites.
- Valid CPCS telehandler ticket.
- Possesses excellent operating skills and a strong awareness of their surroundings in a busy construction environment.
- Is reliable, punctual, and has a proactive approach to their work.
- Is committed to maintaining high safety standards on site at all times.
- Full clean driving licence.
