Senior Quantity Surveyor in Surrey

Client: Leading Traditional House Builder Location: Redhill, Surrey Day Rate: 350 - 400 per day (DOE) IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Contract Type: Long-Term Contract Start Date: ASAP Overview A premier UK traditional house builder and developer is seeking a commercially sharp and proactive Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Redhill on a long-term contract basis. The regional pipeline is heavily active, fast-paced, and growing. This role requires a hands-on commercial professional who can integrate quickly into a high-volume environment. We are seeking either a seasoned professional with around 15+ years of residential experience or a high-energy, proactive commercial surveyor with the drive and capability to hit the ground running from day one. Key Responsibilities Manage all commercial and financial aspects of traditional housebuilding developments from procurement through to final accounts. Utilize COINS software on a daily basis for cost reporting, sub-contractor payments, CVRs, procurement schedules, and valuations. Procure sub-contract packages, negotiate trade terms, and maintain strong commercial relationships with supply chain partners. Conduct monthly cost-to-complete forecasts, budget reconciliations, and cash flow projections. Work collaboratively with site managers, technical teams, and external consultants to manage risk and protect profit margins. Candidate Requirements Software Requirement (Essential): Proven daily operational proficiency with COINS software . Candidates without COINS experience cannot be considered.
