We are looking for an experienced, precise, and reliable Carpenter for a 6-week contract on a commercial development in Stoke-on-Trent. The primary focus of this role is the installation of the Rockclad Cladding System (high-durability exterior compressed rockwool panels). You will be responsible for ensuring the sub-frames, fixing systems, and cladding panels are installed to absolute specification, maintaining perfect lines and weather-tight seals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out and installing timber or aluminum support frameworks/sub-structures.
- Accurately cutting, shaping, and installing Rockclad cladding panels.
- Working to architectural drawings and manufacturer installation guidelines.
- Ensuring all joint details, flashings, and fixings meet strict quality control and weatherproofing standards.
- Maintaining a clean, safe working environment at height.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven track record in high-end carpentry, specifically with exterior rainscreen cladding systems (Rockclad/Rockpanel experience is highly advantageous).
- Qualifications: Valid CSCS Card (Blue Skilled or Gold Supervisor card preferred).
- Tools: Must have your own full kit of professional carpentry tools (including high-quality cutting/circular saws capable of clean cuts on dense cladding materials).
- PPE: Full 5-point PPE required.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic, eye for detail, and the ability to hit the ground running to meet a strict 6-week project timeline.
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
