We are working with an established specialist construction commercial consultancy and project management business near Winchester who are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the team. They have had a steady and managed period of growth over the last 10 years and have a full order book for 2026 through to 2028, working on a range of schemes in the healthcare, education, local authority and care marketplaces.
The role is different from a traditional contracting based commercial role but the old school 1st principles, best practice training you received will form the basis of your new role here as they operate on construction based principles. You will be working with clients at early stages to establish programmes, bills, scope of works etc., selecting contractors to go through PQQ and then issuing tender documents. You will then review submissions and make your recommendations to the client about the best options before appointing a contractor.
You will be responsible for managing their programmes, valuations, variations etc., representing the client and looking after their best interests. You will have a lot of autonomy to make real-time decisions and will be fully backed by head office support functions, reporting into the Managing Director who came from a Tier 1 contracting background.
If site life is not working for you, then this is a unique opportunity to keep doing the best bits of your job and all the good stuff you have learned in a different atmosphere and environment.
Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality. We encourage and welcome applications from all sections of society and are more than happy to discuss reasonable adjustments and/or additional arrangements as required to support your application.
