About the Role
Join a global leader in manufacturing and engineering as a Development Engineer within the Component Engineering Base Engine Team. This position comes at a time of significant investment in clean-sheet engine designs to meet an ever-changing global energy landscape. In this role, you will act as a key technical contributor, focused on developing and validating design solutions for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, new technologies, and updates to existing engine platforms. Working in a collaborative, supportive 9-member team, you will interface directly with global manufacturing sites, suppliers, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Validation Testing: Lead, plan, and execute core engine system validation activities, including both rig and complete system testing.
- Risk Management: Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) on mechanical components and systems to identify design risks and establish testing priorities.
- Root Cause Troubleshooting: Diagnose problems and implement solutions.
