Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join my client's facilities team on a large commercial estate in the heart of West London. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, from 0800 to 1700, Mon to Fri.

The role:

  • Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor
  • To provide technical engineering support within the Hard FM Services department by carrying out preventative maintenance to deadline plus maintain paperwork to support PPM activities
  • To respond to reactive and emergency faults and conduct reactive maintenance work to ensure compliance with KPI's
  • To manage sub-contractors as necessary working to a safe system of work and permit-to-work system
  • To undertake AP/RP duties for the disciplines for which you have been appointed
  • Working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a requirement to participate in the out of hours on call rota and be able to respond/attend site within one hour of the call

The person:

  • Must hold a recognised mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience; AP in HV desirable
  • Previous supervisory and mentoring experience essential
  • Experience in building services maintenance is essential
  • Willingness to attain cross skilling and IT Literate
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Demonstrate good planning, organising and prioritising skills
  • Ability to show examples of using initiative and judgement to resolve problems
  • Experience in a Healthcare environment an advantage
  • Must have a good understanding of health & safety best practice; formal training an advantage
