We are looking for a Material Handler I to join our warehouse team in Loughborough. Working within a dynamic team environment, you will be responsible for ensuring products are accurately and efficiently received, stored, picked, packed, and shipped. Your focus will be on safely achieving day-to-day operational goals following safety, quality, and delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving Put-Away: Receive deliveries/returns, unload items (boxes, cages, pallets) using manual handling equipment, check quantities/quality against purchase orders/ASNs, and book goods into the warehouse management system.
- Picking Packing: Locate and assemble customer orders using radio data terminals and picking lists; package and label cartons/pallets for safe transit.
- Dispatch Loading: Sort customer orders onto outbound routes and safely load delivery vehicles/carriers according to manifest sequences.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in efficiency and quality improvement projects (such as 5S and Kaizen) and maintain productivity and safety targets.
Role Details
- Location: Loughborough (Onsite)
- Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours/week)
- Contract Duration: 12 months
- Shift Pattern: Monday - Thursday (08:30 - 16:30), Friday (08:30 - 17:00)
- Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour
Requirements
- Qualifications Experience: Prior experience in warehouse operations (e.g., picking, packing, dispatch, or forklift driving).
- Communication: Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal standard operating procedures in English.
- Teamwork Flexibility: Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to support team goals, and flexibility regarding shift patterns or overtime when needed.
