My client are seeking a skilled Maintenance Plumber to join their team, responsible for the upkeep and repair of plumbing systems in both commercial and residential buildings. The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing a high level of service to occupants and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and heating.
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests, diagnosing and repairing faults in a timely manner.
- Inspect and maintain pipework, pumps, valves, sanitary ware, and other plumbing fixtures.
- Identify and resolve issues with hot and cold water systems, including unvented and vented systems.
- Conduct routine checks on water storage tanks, booster sets, and expansion vessels.
- Ensure Legionella compliance by conducting temperature monitoring, flushing, and inspections in line with L8 regulations.
- Work closely with other maintenance engineers, electricians, and HVAC specialists to ensure building systems are fully operational.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, tenants, and building management teams.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent).
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in maintenance plumbing within commercial and/or residential buildings.
- Knowledge of water regulations, Legionella control, and Health & Safety compliance.
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
