Location: Loughborough (Bishop Meadow Road) - fully onsite

Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour (Equivalent to £24,258 per year)

Contract Type: 12-Month Contract, Full-Time

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (08:00 - 16:00)

We are looking for practical, motivated team players to join our onsite manufacturing team in Loughborough. In this entry-level role, you will start by packing chemical containers and outer packaging. As you gain experience and complete your training, you will progress to filling chemicals and operating machinery.

This is an active, hands-on position with a structured 12-month training plan designed to help you step up into a Manufacturing Technician II role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Packing & Assembly: Pack various chemical products into different container styles and outer packaging according to daily schedules and work orders.
  • Equipment Operation: Use manual and automatic packaging equipment, including filling and labeling machines.
  • Quality Checks: Use weighing and measuring equipment to ensure batches are accurate. Double-check that batch numbers and chemical codes match the paperwork.
  • Warehouse Prep: Palletize, strap, and stretch-wrap finished goods to make sure they are safe to transport to the warehouse.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety rules (including COSHH, waste handling, and manual handling guidelines) and wear your provided safety gear.
  • Workspace Upkeep: Keep your work area clean and tidy (5S standards) and assist with basic routine maintenance on equipment.

  • Fitness & Motivation: You should be physically fit and healthy, as this role involves regular manual handling and packing.
  • Safety First: A strong awareness of health and safety guidelines and the ability to follow instructions closely.
