Salary: £30,846 plus 10% shift allowance

This position follows a structured 2-week day craft pattern designed for balance:

  • Week 1: Sunday - Thursday
  • Week 2: Monday - Friday

What You Will Do

As an Electrical/Process Control & Automation Craft, you will be the backbone of safe and reliable production. Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on critical electrical systems.
  • Diagnosing and repairing complex faults in plant equipment and automation systems.
  • Working hands-on with PLCs, digital drives, and AC/DC motors.
  • Interpreting technical drawings to ensure all work meets high engineering standards.
  • Contributing to technical investigations and improvement activities to boost plant performance.
  • Upholding rigorous Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • An HNC level qualification, typically gained through a craft or modern apprenticeship in electrical/process control engineering.
  • Previous experience in a plant or heavy industrial environment.
  • A deep understanding of modern electrical systems and safety protocols, paired with strong fault-finding skills.
  • The ability to work independently under pressure and effectively communicate with the wider team.
