We are currently seeking a highly skilled and driven Freelance Facade Manager to oversee the external envelope package on a major new build hotel project in the heart of Liverpool.

The Role

  • Subcontractor Management: Driving the performance of specialist facade, glazing, and cladding subcontractors to ensure they meet program targets.
  • Quality Control (QA/QC): Ensuring all external works are installed to the highest standard, strict specifications, and current fire safety regulations.
  • Health & Safety: Promoting a safe working environment, conducting site inductions, and ensuring strict adherence to RAMS and site safety protocols.
  • Coordination & Logistics: Managing material deliveries and coordinating access equipment (scaffolding, mast climbers, MEWPs) to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Reporting: Conducting regular site inspections, resolving technical snags, and providing accurate progress reports to the senior management team.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Proven experience as a Facade / External Envelope Manager on high-value new build commercial or hotel projects.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of modern facade systems, cladding, glazing, and associated fire-stopping regulations.
  • Valid Certifications: SMSTS, CSCS (Management), and First Aid at Work.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive subcontractors and solve complex site-based challenges.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to zero-defect delivery.
