Are you a detail-oriented engineer looking to make a direct impact on real-world machinery? We are seeking a Configuration Support Engineer to join our technical team within the Building Construction Products Division. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing current and new product configurations, maintaining engineering master models, and handling machine bills of material (BOM). This is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate across global regions (including the UK, USA, India, and Brazil), working on both current production and exciting New Product Introductions (NPI).
What You Will Do
- Manage Engineering Changes: Review engineering change data and documentation to ensure strict compliance with change management policies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicate and coordinate design changes seamlessly with product development groups, sales, marketing, supply chain, and manufacturing operations.
- Documentation & Modeling: Prepare essential configuration documentation required to support product development and maintain master models.
- Process Improvement: Support machine product groups within corporate engineering systems and contribute to ongoing process improvement projects.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in an engineering support role. Experience within Off-Highway, Automotive, Aerospace, Rail, or a similar manufacturing domain is highly valued.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with PTC Creo (3D CAD software) and Teamcenter Engineering (data management system).
- Core Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate conflicting timelines using basic project management skills. Strong analytical thinking and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a mindset geared toward working effectively within diverse, global teams.
- Education: A relevant engineering degree is desirable, though equivalent hands-on experience will be highly considered.
- Preferred (But Not Essential): Prior engineering experience specifically within a mobile construction equipment manufacturing environment.
