About the Role

Randstad is currently seeking experienced and reliable Telehandler Operators (Telescopic Handler Drivers) for upcoming long-term and short-term construction projects located across West and East Sussex. You will be a key operator on site, responsible for driving the telehandler safely, offloading deliveries, and ensuring materials are distributed efficiently to support trade teams and site operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Material Distribution: Moving and lifting heavy materials around the site to support trades and sub-contractors.
  • Loading & Unloading: Safely offloading delivery vehicles, wagons, and suppliers upon arrival.
  • Site Logistics: Stacking, storing, and organizing site materials neatly to keep working areas clean and accessible.
  • Safety & Inspections: Conducting daily pre-start plant checks on the telehandler and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
  • General Site Duties: Jumping off the machine to assist on foot with general site logistics when machine operation isn't actively required.

Requirements

To be considered for these roles, you must have:

  • A valid CPCS or NPORS card
  • Full PPE (Hard hat, steel-toe boots, high-vis jacket/vest, gloves)
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Ability to provide 2 recent work references from previous plant operator roles
