We are recruiting for a Planner to join the team at an established Tier 1 business in Bristol to work on schemes up to £80 million. The contractor is a national Tier 1 business operating across Bristol and the South West on framework schemes and bids up to £80 million, with a sweet spot in the £15 to £30 million range. They work across education, care, defence, MOD, leisure, and industrial schemes. Turnover is secured through 2029 with other opportunities in the pipeline, including a direct award school project and numerous MOD opportunities.

The role of Planner involves working primarily with the bid and estimating teams to establish best practice and accurate forecasting at tender stages. You will help produce scope of works and bills of quantities, assess and manage subcontractor responses and proposals, and take a detailed dive into their programmes and critical path to produce a master programme for each scheme. You will assist with client meetings and liaise with external professional bodies as well.

Once the project has been successfully bid and won, you will help sense check the Project and Contract Managers' look ahead programmes and ensure both subcontractors and the site team are on target. You will have the full support of head office systems and will work closely with the PM and delivery team to achieve the best results for the company.

This role would suit an experienced Planner looking to work for a regional business and handle a wide variety and number of schemes. They are also interested in talking to either Project or Contracts Managers who may be looking to transition into a full-time planning role.
