We are seeking two dedicated and highly skilled Multiskilled Engineers to join the estates team at a major Acute Hospital in Birmingham (Selly Oak). This role is essential for ensuring the hospital's mechanical and electrical services are maintained to the highest standards, directly supporting the delivery of critical NHS services.
Role Overview
- Hourly Rate: 23.00 per hour.
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 14:00 to 22:00 (with a 30-minute break).
- Location: Selly Oak, Birmingham.
- Start Date: 18/05/2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance Delivery: Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM), testing, and reactive/breakdown repairs across the hospital estate, including clinical areas such as ITU, A&E, and Operating Theatres.
- Technical Compliance: Ensure all engineering services align with contractual obligations, industry best practice, and Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) standards.
- Operational Excellence: Manage individually assigned tasks via CAFM systems and digital management tools to meet strict site Performance KPIs and SLAs.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Essential:
- Electrical Qualifications: 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and City & Guilds 2360/2330/2357 Level 3 or equivalent.
- Testing & Inspection: City & Guilds 2394 or 2395 Certification.
- Aptitude: Ability to interpret complex drawings and specifications without supervision and work effectively in distressing clinical environments.
- Desirable:
- Advanced Certification: HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Specialist Knowledge: Experience or AP/CP appointments in Medical Gas (MGPS), Ventilation (HTM-03), or HV/LV systems.
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
