Are you an experienced and safety-conscious banksman looking for a contract opportunity in the Hessle area? We have an upcoming requirement for a skilled individual to join a busy new build housing site, with a start date in June.
About the Role:
As a banksman, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe movement of vehicles and plant machinery around the construction site. Your key duties will include:
- Directing and guiding vehicle and plant movements safely and efficiently.
- Ensuring that all lifting operations are carried out in accordance with safety regulations.
- Maintaining clear communication with drivers and site personnel.
- Identifying and mitigating potential hazards related to vehicle and plant movement.
- Adhering strictly to site health and safety procedures at all times.
- Assisting with general site duties when required.
Skills / Experience:
- Proven experience working as a Banksman on construction sites, ideally within the new build housing sector.
- A valid and recognised Banksman/Traffic Marshall ticket.
- A strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to vehicle and plant movement.
- Excellent communication and signalling skills.
- Ability to remain alert and focused in a busy environment.
- A responsible and safety-conscious attitude.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
