Dumper Operator in Wallingford

Randstad UK CPE Reading Team is currently looking to onboard an experienced Dumper Operator for a busy construction site in Wallingford.

• Job Title: Dumper Operator
• Location: Wallingford (Residential Housing Site)
• Contract Type: Temporary
• Working Hours: Typically 07:30 AM - 16:30 PM (8.5-9 paid hours/day)
• Pay: £19.00 - £21.00 / hr

Key Responsibilities

• Safe operation of forward-tipping dumpers (tracked/wheeled, up to 6t-9t) across a busy residential development site.
• Transporting earth, aggregates, spoil, and building materials to designated muckaway or storage areas.
• Assisting groundworkers when not operating the machine (e.g., footings, drainage, levelling, slab/curb prep).
• Pre-use daily inspection checks on plant machinery and strictly adhering to site Health & Safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Valid CPCS/NPORS card (Forward Tipping Dumper essential; Roller/360 Excavator ideal)
• Full UK driving licence.
• 1-3 years' experience on UK residential housing sites, including practical groundworks knowledge (footings, drainage, concreting).
• Full personal protective equipment (hard hat, high-vis, steel toe boots, gloves).
