We are seeking a reliable School Caretaker to join a dedicated site team in Borehamwood. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a strong "can-do" attitude and a background in trades, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for students and staff.
Role Overview
- Pay Rate: £13.68 per hour
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift: 9am-5pm / 23rd till 27th March
- Location: Borehamwood
Key Responsibilities
- Site Security: Responsibility for the opening and closing of school premises, ensuring all areas are secure.
- Health & Safety: Ensuring walkways are clear and safe.
- Grounds Upkeep: General maintenance of outdoor areas, including litter picking and seasonal tasks (e.g., gritting during winter).
- Contractor Liaison: Assisting external contractors during site visits and ensuring works are completed safely.
Requirements
- Vetting: A valid Enhanced DBS check is essential for this role.
- Reliability: A punctual and dependable approach, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Communication: Good interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with school leadership, staff, and pupils.
