About the

Role: We are looking for a hard-working and dependable general labourer for a short-term contract on a busy new build housing site in Newcastle.

This role offers an immediate start for a reliable site operative.

Working closely with the Site Manager and trade teams, you will play an essential role in maintaining site standards, assisting trades, and ensuring daily operations run safely and smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting various trades on-site with moving and distributing materials to active plots.
  • Sweeping out plots, clearing construction waste, and loading skips.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised site environment in line with health and safety standards.
  • Assisting the Site Manager with unloading and managing incoming deliveries.
  • Carrying out general manual labour and physical duties across the development as directed.

What We Are Looking For

  • Valid CSCS Card (Essential).
  • Previous experience working as a labourer on a construction site (New build housing experience is preferred).
  • Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, and steel toe cap boots).
  • A strong, proactive work ethic and excellent punctuality.
  • Ability to follow safety instructions around live residential plots and heavy machinery.
  • Based in or within easy commuting distance of Newcastle upon Tyne.
