The Role:
Are you a career-driven water hygiene professional looking to progress with a leading player in the compliance and environmental sector? We are partnering with a highly respected compliance consultancy to find a dedicated and self-motivated Legionella Risk Assessor to join their expanding team in the London/South east.
In this role, you will represent the company on-site, delivering an efficient, professional, and compliant service. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive risk assessments of water systems, providing clients with reliable compliance data and high-quality reports across commercial, residential, and healthcare properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Risk Assessments: Competently undertake Legionella Risk Assessments and technical inspection/testing of water systems in strict compliance with ACoP L8 and HSG274 guidelines.
- Accurate Reporting: Produce precise, factual risk assessment reports, site schematic drawings, and remedial recommendations using digital templates on handheld devices.
- Technical Advice: Provide clear, impartial, and expert advice to clients on-site to help them manage risk and maintain statutory compliance.
- Equipment & Vehicle Care: Ensure all allocated testing equipment remains calibrated and maintained, and take appropriate care of your company-provided vehicle.
- Safety & Quality Compliance: Work safely and with consideration for everyone affected by your activities, adhering to accredited quality management systems.
About You:
- Qualifications: You should hold a recognised industry qualification in Legionella Risk Assessing.
- Experience: Proven experience surveying and assessing building water systems for Legionella across a variety of sectors (such as housing, commercial, or healthcare).
- Technical Skills: Highly IT literate, with strong experience collecting data and managing workloads through handheld tablets/PDAs.
- Key Competencies: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a proactive "can-do" attitude when interfacing with clients, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Essentials: A full UK driving licence is required to support regional travel across your designated Midlands patch.
