Ganger in Cheshire

Construction Ganger - Mobile (North West)

• Pay Rate: £24.00 per hour

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30

• Duration: Long-term work (12 months)

• Location: Mobile across the North West (regional site coverage)

• Duties:

  • Leading and coordinating a small team of operatives (groundworkers and machine drivers) on daily site operations

  • Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications

  • Ordering daily site materials and managing deliveries to stay ahead of programme

  • Monitoring project deadlines, workflow, and productivity

  • Overseeing site health & safety compliance, risk awareness, and safe systems of work

  • Acting as key liaison between the gang, site management, and foremen

• Requirements:

  • Valid CSCS Card (Supervisor / Skilled; SSSTS advantageous)

  • Proven experience working as a Ganger / Chargehand across civils and groundworks packages

  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and work to technical site drawings

  • Full UK driving licence and own transport (essential for regional travel)

  • Full site PPE
