General Foreman, Civils & Infrastructure – Leeds, Yorkshire

Are you an experienced General Foreman with a strong background in civil engineering and infrastructure projects? Do you thrive on leading teams and delivering high-quality work? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic team in Leeds, Yorkshire, working on a diverse range of challenging and rewarding projects.

This role offers a competitive salary up to £55,000, a car allowance, and a fuel card.

The Role

As General Foreman, you\’ll be instrumental in leading and supervising a team of operatives across various general civils and infrastructure projects. These projects are varied and may include earthworks, drainage, roadworks, groundwork, and utilities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and motivating your team to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

  • Monitoring project progress against schedules and budgets, ensuring effective management of materials and resources.

  • Upholding a safe and healthy working environment, with strict adherence to all health and safety regulations.

  • Collaborating closely with the Site Manager, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any on-site issues promptly.

  • Ensuring all work complies with project specifications and drawings.

  • A proven track record as a Foreman or in a similar leadership role within the civil engineering industry.

  • Extensive hands-on experience in general civils and infrastructure projects, including expertise in earthworks, drainage, roadworks, and utilities.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.
