Project Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Site Manager to lead an upgrade project on a water treatment plant in Windsor. This is a long-term contract focusing on the installation and delivery of mechanical pumping stations. We need an established manager from a strong mechanical engineering background who can take full ownership of the mechanical packages, manage the site safely, and drive subcontractor performance from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Leadership: Take full operational responsibility for the mechanical delivery, managing the day-to-day program on the water treatment plant.
  • Subcontractor Management: Lead, coordinate, and hold accountable the mechanical subcontractors on site to ensure milestones are met.
  • Installation Oversight: Manage the delivery and installation of mechanical pumping stations, heavy pipework, and associated plant.
  • Health & Safety: Enforce site safety rules, review and implement RAMS, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Progress Reporting: Keep the project on track against the main schedule, managing technical issues and client updates as required.

Requirements

  • Technical Background: Solid mechanical engineering background with proven experience managing water treatment plants or water assets.
  • Pumping Stations: Extensive track record delivering mechanical pumping stations and complex pipework installations.
  • Management Experience: Proven ability to run a site, manage multi-disciplinary subcontractors, and solve technical engineering problems.
  • Certifications: SMSTS, relevant CSCS Card (Black/Gold preferred), EUSR and First Aid.

Contract Details

  • Payment Options: LTD or PAYE models available.
  • Timeline: Immediate start available with long-term stability.
