Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client accounts, developing strong customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with water hygiene and treatment standards.
This role combines technical knowledge of water systems with commercial acumen to deliver high-quality service, support business growth, and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Job Role
- Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring service delivery meets contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert advice on water hygiene and treatment solutions, including legionella control, closed system water treatment, cooling towers, and domestic water systems.
- Conduct regular site visits, audits, and surveys to assess compliance with ACo P L8, HSG274, and other relevant legislation/guidelines.
- Manage and coordinate monitoring programs, sampling schedules, remedial works and risk assessments.
- Prepare and present detailed technical reports, proposals, and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services.
- Work closely with field engineers and operational colleagues to deliver tailored solutions for clients.
- Monitor account performance, profitability, and client satisfaction, taking corrective action where necessary.
- Stay up to date with industry standards, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in water hygiene and treatment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in water hygiene, water treatment, or environmental services account management.
- Knowledge of relevant UK water hygiene legislation and guidance (ACo P L8, HSG274, BS 8580, etc.).
- Strong technical understanding of water systems, monitoring, and treatment processes.
- Excellent relationship building, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret technical data and present findings in a clear and professional manner.
- Commercial awareness with a track record of developing accounts and meeting revenue targets.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Client-focused with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple accounts/projects.
- Strong administrative, organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider technical and commercial team.
