The Role: Are you an experienced Service Chemist or Water Treatment Engineer looking to step up into a senior, client-facing role? We are currently recruiting a dedicated Senior Service Chemist to manage high-value commercial, industrial, healthcare, and public sector accounts across the North West.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Analysis & Dosing: Perform chemical analysis, testing, and dosing on complex systems, including Cooling Towers, Steam Boilers, and Closed Loop heating/chilled systems.
- Statutory Compliance: Ensure complete client compliance in strict accordance with ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidelines.
- System Maintenance: Carry out water sampling, tank inspections, system flushing, and disinfections (including secondary disinfection such as (ClO2)).
- Client Account Management: Act as a technical account lead on-site, offering actionable recommendations regarding chemical regimes, system efficiencies, and necessary remedial works.
- Leadership: Mentor and guide junior Service Chemists and Water Hygiene Technicians to uphold high quality standards.
About You:
- Education: You must hold a degree (or equivalent qualification) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science.
- Experience: A minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in water treatment is strictly required, specifically working with Cooling Towers, Steam Boilers, and Closed Systems.
- Compliance Knowledge: You must have an expert understanding of ACOP L8 and HSG274 regulations.
- Key Competencies: Strong analytical ability, excellent client management skills, and the capacity to write clear, concise technical reports.
- Essentials: A full UK Driving Licence and a willingness to travel regionally across the North West and West Midlands.
