GROUNDWORKERS REQUIRED (x6) - WIGAN
Contract: 15th July 2026 - 25th September 2026
We are currently recruiting a squad of 6 experienced Groundworkers for a commercial development in the Wigan area.
Contract Details
- Start Date: Wednesday, 15th July 2026
- End Date: Friday, 25th September 2026 (approx. 10 weeks of guaranteed work)
- Hours: Approx 50 hours per week
- Rate: £19.48 per hour CIS
Key Duties
- Deep drainage, pipe laying, and ducting.
- Slab laying, kerbing, edging, and concrete works.
- Assisting machine operators with general ground preparation and excavation.
- Upholding strict site health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Qualifications: Blue CPCS card is highly preferred (specifically dumper/roller tickets), but a valid CSCS Card is acceptable for skilled groundworkers.
- Experience: Proven track record in commercial or civil groundworks (references will be requested).
- PPE: Full orange or yellow 5-point PPE required.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, hardworking, and able to work well as part of a squad.
