We are recruiting for a Design Manager for a national contractor to work on a new education scheme near Weymouth. They are one of the largest contractors in the UK and are a family-run, profitable business with a secured future workload and cash in the bank. They operate in the education, student and BTR, retail & leisure, mixed-use development and office marketplaces. Schemes are won through 2 stage frameworks or repeat business from delighted clients and range from £30 to £150 million in value. The regional office is based in Bristol, which covers Bristol and the South West down to Plymouth and Exeter.
Due to a number of recent project awards, they are looking for Design experts to join them, with schemes in Weymouth, Poole and Bournemouth, the first of which is a direct award DFE school scheme circa £30 million. The role involves working on schemes from bid stages through the detailed 2nd stage before taking them onto site and helping build and deliver the scheme. This encompasses the full life cycle of the project: bid it, win it, 2nd stage it, then take to site and deliver it.
They are looking for either experienced Design Managers who want the opportunity to get involved in the full life cycle of a development and have their voice heard, or ambitious Design Co-Ordinators ready to take the step up. With the implementation of the building safety act, if you are chartered, that would be an advantage; if not, they are happy to help with external training to get you there.
They offer a competitive salary, car allowance and annual bonus, and it is a great place to work with energetic leadership teams wanting to make a real difference in the patch.
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality. We encourage and welcome applications from all sections of society and are more than happy to discuss reasonable adjustments and/or additional arrangements as required to support your application.
