About the Role

This is a 12-month contract position that covers the full development lifecycle. You will transition from early concept and requirements definition through to system integration, machine build, and final validation. Operating in a specialised development environment, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams; including controls, software, and mechanical integration; to deliver safe, robust, and industry-leading electrical solutions. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to gain exposure to advanced battery and power electronics technology while working directly with prototype hardware.

Responsibilities

Define comprehensive electrical system requirements and technical specifications.
Lead electrical architecture development and ensure seamless, high-quality system integration.
Select electrical components and perform rigorous technical evaluations of various subsystems.
Create detailed validation plans, test procedures, and clear acceptance criteria.
Conduct hands-on machine electrical system validation, overseeing both HV and LV architectures.
Execute proactive troubleshooting, commissioning, and debugging activities.
Resolve integration issues effectively during the machine build phase.
Document technical decisions, test outcomes, and engineering recommendations with precision.

Qualifications

Proven experience in developing and integrating electrical systems within automotive, off-highway, industrial, aerospace, or rail sectors.
Substantial hands-on experience working safely with LV and HV electrical systems (ranging from 60V to 1500V+ applications).
Expertise in commissioning, fault finding, and root-cause investigation using CAN-based tools and diagnostic equipment. xgikmsk
