Freelance Sub Agent - Heavy Civils & Tunnelling Location: East London Rate: £430 per day (CIS) Contract Length: 6 months+ Are you a delivery-focused Sub Agent with a strong background in RC, shafts or microtunnelling? We are currently looking for an experienced freelance Sub Agent to help drive a technically challenging heavy civils package in East London. You will be acting as the driving force on site, managing subcontractors, overseeing the engineering team, and ensuring the complex works are delivered safely and to specification. The Project Scope: 1x 5m diameter shaft (20m depth) 1x 7.5m diameter shaft (20m depth) 110m of 1200mm ID Microtunnelling Key Responsibilities: Managing day-to-day site operations, driving production, and coordinating subcontractor activities. Writing, reviewing, and implementing RAMS, ITPs, and safe systems of work. Overseeing QA/QC and ensuring high standards of engineering accuracy. Managing Temporary Works safely and effectively. Working closely with the Project Manager to track progress against the program. Ensuring strict adherence to Health & Safety protocols in a high-risk deep excavation/tunnelling environment. What We're Looking For: Proven track record working as a Sub Agent or Senior Engineer on RC, heavy civils, deep drainage, shaft sinking, or microtunnelling/pipe jacking projects. Degree, HND, or HNC in Civil Engineering. Valid CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid (TSTS is highly advantageous). Strong commercial awareness and temporary works experience. Excellent leadership and communication skills. The Package: £430 per shift, paid via CIS. Opportunity to work on a highly technical, prime civils project in London.
