We are seeking a MEICA Lead at Project Manager level to oversee the planning, delivery, and commissioning of multiple water design and infrastructure upgrade projects. This is a long-term contract running until at least 2027, requiring a professional who can fully manage the MEICA lifecycle across a portfolio of local schemes. You will be responsible for coordinating designers, site teams, and subcontractors, ensuring all interfaces, outages, and risk factors are managed within budget and programme constraints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead, manage, and develop the MEICA and commissioning strategies across the project portfolio from design through to completion.
  • Technical Compliance: Review subcontract Technical Specifications and Appendices against water industry specifications, British Standards, and WIMES.
  • Interface & Risk Management: Identify and manage critical project interfaces, utility outages, and coordination risks.
  • Coordination & Meetings: Act as the central point of contact between MEICA designers, site construction teams, subcontractors, and the client. Lead progress and commissioning meetings.
  • Value & Delivery: Optimise project value through standardisation, consistency, and best practice, while strictly promoting Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven track record at Project Manager level leading MEICA delivery and commissioning on water or wastewater design projects.
  • Industry Standards: Strong working knowledge of water sector specifications and WIMES requirements.
  • Certifications: SMSTS and a relevant CSCS Card are essential.
  • Leadership: Strong communication and commercial skills to manage multi-disciplinary engineering and supplier teams.
