Are you a skilled Controls Electrical Engineer looking for a high-impact contract where you can truly own the lifecycle of major capital projects? We are partnering with a large global manufacturer at their Slough site to find a dynamic Controls Engineer. You will be driving massive site upgrades, including a major overhaul replacing machines, integrating cutting-edge technology into existing systems, and upgrading legacy assets to modern standards.
Location: Slough (On-site)
Duration: 12 Months
Work Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Full-Time)
Pay Rate: 40.00- 60.00 per hour (depending on experience)
As a Controls Engineer, you will manage a mix of project stages, focusing predominantly on Low Voltage (LV) controls systems. While hands-on programming isn’t a deal-breaker, you must possess the technical expertise to hold vendors accountable, lead commissioning, and fault-find effectively.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Managing the end-to-end execution of engineering projects, from initial site surveying and concept design to scoping, alignment, and tendering.
- Issuing work permits for contractors and managing implementation safety, including electrical isolations on circuits.
- Working closely with contract partners, suppliers, and internal associates to ensure projects hit strict timelines and compliance goals.
- Actively participating in project design reviews, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
