About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shift Lead Engineer with High Voltage Authorised Person (HVAP) certification to join our team at a prestigious flagship building in London. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leadership role within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment. You will ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of the building’s critical systems while leading a team of skilled engineers on a Continental Shift Pattern .
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of engineers during shifts to ensure all planned and reactive maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Perform hands-on maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of critical systems, including electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment.
- Act as the High Voltage Authorised Person (HVAP) for the site, overseeing HV operations and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of building systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, shift logs, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for specialist maintenance and repairs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times, conducting risk assessments and promoting a safe working environment.
Requirements:
- HVAP (High Voltage Authorised Person) certification is essential.
- Proven experience in a similar role within a critical or commercial building environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work a Continental Shift Pattern , including nights and weekends.
- Relevant technical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, HND) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
