I am recruiting for an established regional construction business based near Newbury who work within an hour geographically covering Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey. The company is a recognised brand with a turnover in excess of £50 million per year but still retains a family feel to the business in terms of values and how they treat staff, clients and the wider supply chain.
They work on frameworks and negotiated schemes in the education, health care, retail and local authority marketplaces. Project values range from £2 to £20 million and they are with the client every step of the way offering advice, support and finding new and innovative ways of working.
Your duties will be to work with the estimating and bid teams to firm up prices and costs for each package based on the initial bids, compile a working scope of works and bill of quantities for each package and work with the supply chain to establish how each phase will be delivered. Place orders, arrange pre-start meetings and then manage the scheme in conjunction with the delivery team and carry out the standard QS role of valuations, payments, remeasures, managing variation accounts, CVRs and weekly, monthly reporting and forecasting through to final account all under the supervision of a Senior QS who will help with your training and development.
You will be given responsibility to manage your own smaller schemes from procurement through to final account whilst getting exposure to larger more complicated packages and schemes. The role would be ideal for someone looking to expand their knowledge and training and they are one of the best in the industry at training, development and promoting internal talent based on hard work and results.
If you are looking to join a progressive, forward-thinking company that will develop and help you achieve your goals and ambitions then this could be the role for you.
Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality. We encourage and welcome applications from all sections of society and are more than happy to discuss reasonable adjustments and/or additional arrangements as required to support your application. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
For the purposes of the Conduct Regulations 2003, when advertising permanent vacancies we are acting as an Employment Agency, and when advertising temporary/contract vacancies we are acting as an Employment Business.
