Randstad are seeking an experienced and driven Site Manager for an immediate start on a busy water framework contract based around the Romford area. You will be overseeing operational sites focusing on clean/waste water pipework repairs, excavations, and main laying. This is a fast-paced contract role requiring a hands-on manager who can ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations on site, ensuring all pipework repairs and excavations are carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Supervise direct labor and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and robust risk assessments (RAMS).
  • Liaise closely with the client, local authorities, and members of the public regarding street works and disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate site diaries, progress reports, and quality control documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
  • EUSR Category 1 & 2
  • EUSR National Water Hygiene Card (Blue Card)
  • First Aid at Work (Valid certification)
  • Proven experience supervising water pipeline installations, repairs, and deep excavations.
  • Strong knowledge of street works (NRSWA) and utility excavation safety.

Highly Desirable

  • Previous experience working on a major Water Framework (experience with Thames Water standards and systems is highly advantageous).

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
