My client, an industry leading tier one civil engineering and construction firm are looking for a Quality Inspector to join their Rail division on a temporary contract in the North East of England. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of one of the most prestigious rail projects in the North East of England.
Candidate responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections and surveillance to ensure compliance with quality requirements and produce reports of findings.
- Follow through on findings to satisfactory closure.
- Provide expertise to document originators in the formation of Inspection and Test Plans and BIM 360 Field checklists.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify potential quality risks and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of quality-related activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance instances.
- Collaborate with integration Teams to proactively work on EiS, AMP and Health and Safety Files.
- Support the development of quality-related training materials for alliance-wide dissemination.
- Investigate and analyse non-conformance incidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective action and identify trends.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of site quality documentation in alignment with company standards.
- Collaborate closely with project teams to gather all necessary quality documentation throughout project life-cycles.
- Monitor progressive assurance of ITPs by the delivery teams to ensure that checklists and quality verifying records are being created contemporaneously.
- Carry out audits in line with the Audit Schedule and report findings and follow through to satisfactory closure.
- Support delivery of H&S Files within site teams.
- Provide training to project teams on quality standards, processes, and tools.
Candidate requirements:
- Graduate in relevant discipline OR professional qualification (e.g. CQI Diploma (Level 5)).
- Membership of the CQI or other relevant professional body.
- Internal Auditor.
- Proven experience within a live rail environment with similar complexity and risk, sufficient to understand and review end to end processes and propose quality improvements.
- Ability to form effective working relationships with Stakeholders. Network rail experience would be advantageous.
Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
