The predicted salary is between 11.7 - 14.3 Β£ per hour.

Location: Basingstoke, UK

Contract Duration: 12 Months (Temporary, Full-Time)

Pay Rate: Β£13.46 per hour + 20% shift allowance

Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts, Monday-Friday (Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00 | Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00)

Hours: 40 hours per week (Optional overtime available)

Workplace Style: Onsite

An opportunity has arisen for a Process Operator to join an established manufacturing team in Basingstoke. Operating in a fast-paced environment, you will play a key role in the production and packaging of dehydrated culture media products that support global healthcare and scientific safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow defined manufacturing processes to create batch records, print labels, and operate equipment to produce required products.
  • Update stock management systems (SAP) upon the completion of allocated production tasks.
  • Maintain personal training records within the company Quality Management System (MasterControl).
  • Participate actively in daily departmental meetings, monitoring and reporting on daily output and safety goals.
  • Adhere strictly to site health, safety, compliance, and quality guidelines, reporting any unsafe practices immediately.

Key Requirements & Skills

  • Physical Capability: Ability to comfortably handle the physical demands of the role, including the manual handling and lifting of up to 25kg bags of raw materials.
  • Literacy & Numeracy: Strong basic literacy, numeracy, and computer skills (including email) with the ability to record data accurately.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision and diligence when following written instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Experience: Previous manufacturing or production line experience is preferred, though not essential.
  • Equipment: Candidates must possess their own safety boots (additional PPE is provided on-site).
