About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our Hydraulic Installation team in Peterlee. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design and development of hydraulic installation systems for heavy machinery, ensuring they meet high standards for performance, durability, and manufacturability. This is a high-impact position involving complex routing, simulation, and close collaboration with global teams, manufacturing plants, and external suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop hydraulic installation systems using Creo.
- Perform basic structural analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) using Creo Simulate.
- Release new designs and manage engineering changes through Teamcenter.
- Manage complex project deliverables on time while maintaining standard work practices.
- Coordinate directly with manufacturing/operations teams to resolve design issues and identify improvements.
- Collaborate with suppliers on new part designs and revisions.
What We Are Looking For
Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university (or 25+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
- 9+ years of engineering experience across design, validation, or simulation.
- Advanced expertise in Creo Design and intermediate to advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems/machine integration.
- Experience performing FEA / Simulation (Creo Simulate / Pro-Mechanical).
- Strong communication skills and a proven track record of working effectively in global, cross-functional team environments.
