Position: Maintenance Technician

Contract: 12-month contract

Location: Peterborough

Pay Rate: £18.45-£23.45p/h PAYE

Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM

As a crucial part of the Emissions Measurement Services department, you will balance your time between independent project ownership and collaborating closely with a wider team of expert engineers. Your daily role will consist of:

  • Maintain and control the complex gas systems used across the facility to measure gaseous engine emissions.
  • Liaise directly with suppliers, manage gas ordering, and keep all critical records and documentation pristine.
  • Proactively problem-solve any challenges.
  • Install, service, calibrate, and evaluate a fleet of cutting-edge emissions measurement equipment.
  • Conduct diagnostic investigations and total preventative maintenance (TPM).
  • Assist engineers with technical investigations into current and future emissions technologies within a laboratory setting.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Apprenticeship with an electro-mechanical bias, or equivalent extensive industry experience.
  • A strong understanding of Root Cause Analysis techniques and permanent corrective actions.
  • The ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, schematics, and written instructions.
