Randstad are seeking an experienced and driven Site Agent to lead a series of high-profile Access for All (AFA) station schemes across a Network Rail framework in the Oxford area. This is a brilliant long-term contract opportunity (12 months+) for a rail professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a dynamic leader capable of balancing subcontractor management with hands-on self-delivery teams. The scope of work is diverse, covering everything from heavy civils and structural steelwork to complex MEP lift and escalator installations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery: Oversee day-to-day site operations for AFA schemes, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to Network Rail standards.
  • Delivery Strategy: Manage a hybrid delivery model, successfully overseeing specialist subcontractors while directly managing self-delivery teams.
  • Scope of Works: Lead diverse engineering packages including deep drainage, civils, structural steelwork, lift shafts, and lift/escalator installations.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Review, update, and implement Work Package Plans (WPPs), Task Briefing Sheets (TBS), and Risk Assessments (RAMS).
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact on-site for the client (Network Rail), station stakeholders, and third-party authorities.
