The Opportunity: We are looking for an established and reliable 3-man Groundworks Gang to join a flagship infrastructure project in Northumberland. This is a high-profile Tier 1 site requiring a team that can hit the ground running on a multi-phase civils package.
The Gang Requirement:
- 360 Excavator Operator (Above 10t): Must hold CPCS Blue Card with Lifting Operations. Experience with GPS (Trimble/Topcon) is highly advantageous for precision grading.
- Forward Tipping Dumper / Roller: Valid CPCS/NPORS tickets. Responsible for site logistics and supporting the groundworkers during muck-away and fill cycles.
- Skilled Groundworker: Must hold CSCS Skilled Worker (Blue Card). Expertise in Deep Drainage (S104), pipe-laying, kerbing, and FRC works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Earthworks: Executing precision excavations for structural foundations and attenuation basins.
- Drainage & Utilities: Installing large-bore drainage networks and utility corridors to strict engineering levels.
- Highways (S278/S38): Construction of new site access roads, including road box prep and radius kerbing.
- Safety: Strict adherence to 'Permit to Dig' systems and maintaining 100% plant-pedestrian segregation.
Requirements:
- Vetting: All members MUST possess a valid Safety Critical Medical (Non-negotiable).
- Experience: Proven experience on major civils, energy, or industrial infrastructure projects.
- Reliability: Ability to commit to a 45-hour week and long-term project duration.
- Logistics: Must be local to Northumberland or able to commute reliably to the Blyth/Ashington corridor.
