A leading civil engineering firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Agent to join our team on the critical highways package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the earthworks structures package, ensuring adherence to project specifications, deadlines, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and manage project resources effectively, including plant, machinery, and materials.
  • Monitor construction progress, identify potential issues related to excavation, fill, and compaction, and implement solutions to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
  • Maintain meticulous records of work progress and any issues that arise, including daily site diaries.
  • Champion safety on the project, promoting a culture of awareness and enforcing the highest safety standards.
  • Contribute to the successful completion of the project, meeting deadlines and achieving the highest quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Site Agent on large-scale highway or road construction projects, with a particular focus on earthworks.
  • A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations relevant to road construction, particularly in relation to earthworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing a team and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to achieving project goals on time and within budget.
  • A strong commitment to safety, with a proven ability to implement and uphold the highest safety standards.
